WHEN ‘NATURAL’ IS NOT ENOUGH
When choosing a bath or skincare product with ‘natural’ or ‘organic’ on the label it is easy to assume it must be good for you. Why then does sensitive skin often still react? A number of factors can be to blame; certain blended essential oils can cause an allergic reaction, herbal extracts can irritate and a high percentage of Sodium Chloride (salt to you and me) used to thicken liquid soap [the industry standard method], dries the skin.
We believe in more of the good stuff and as a happy consequence, it means you need less product, as little goes a long way, which is also good for the environment.
At Sedbergh Soap we go that one step further. And that’s how we’ve created a range of bath and skin care products made from natural and organic ingredients, which are luxurious in feel, naturally scented or unscented and positively good for the daily care of very sensitive skin, well, any skin really.

"My husband and I both have sensitive skin and we find that Sedbergh soaps suit us perfectly. Recently my husband has found another way that the soap has helped a minor skin problem too. He has had several very itchy dry areas on his leg that do not respond well to other treatments. He tried rubbing the Lemongrass soap on to damp skin over the itchy areas. Surprisingly the areas stopped itching, become less red and settled down! He does not know how the soap helps but it has proved to work for him on several occasions now."
